Poland's beef exports experienced a slight decline in 2020, with a 0.4% decrease in shipments and a 1% drop in revenue, largely due to the pandemic's impact on international trade and the HoReCa industry. Despite these challenges, the majority of exports were to EU-28 countries, with notable variations in demand from Italy and Germany. The import of beef products into Poland was also down, leading to a positive trade balance for beef and veal. Early in 2021, the volume of beef and veal exports saw a slight increase compared to the same period in the previous year.
