Poland's decline in dairy cow numbers, which began in 2019, was halted in 2022 with a slight 0.1% increase, reaching 2,037,000 by December 2022. Milk production in Poland is mainly concentrated in the central and eastern regions, particularly in the provinces of Mazowieckie, Podlasie, and Greater Poland, which house over 82% of the national dairy cow stock. These regions are responsible for 86% of milk deliveries.
