In the first half of 2022, Paraguay experienced a significant decrease in pork exports and revenue generated from these exports. The country exported 935 tons of pork products, a decrease of 65% compared to the same period in the previous year, generating USD 1.8 million, a 62% decrease in revenue. The main destinations for these exports were Uruguay, accounting for 80% of the total value, followed by Georgia with 17%. A new market for Paraguayan pork products emerged in Armenia, contributing 3% to the total revenue generated.
