Portuguese wine exports reached a record value of 941 million euros in 2022, marking a 1.52% increase from the previous year, according to ViniPortugal. The exports were roughly equally divided between third countries and the European Union, with France, the United States, and the United Kingdom being the top three markets. The Angolan, Mexican, and Japanese markets saw the largest increases in value. ViniPortugal's goal for 2023 is to reach one billion euros in exports, driven by an increase in the average price.
