Potato crops in Poland, what are the yields in 2022?

Potato crops are estimated at approx. 6.2 million tonnes, i.e. less than last year's crops by approx. 13%, according to the Central Statistical Office. Vegetation conditions - from planting to harvesting were varied for potato crops. Cold weather in spring with insufficient rainfall inhibited the growth and development of plants. Rainfall occurring from the second half of May improved the condition of the plantation. Diverse weather conditions in the following months meant that the yield potential of potatoes will not be fully used. Due to the significant shortage of rainfall, uneven distribution, different level of agricultural technology and soil conditions, the condition of the plantation varies.
