The article reports significant increases in funding for the development of livestock and food processing in Hungary. The tender to support livestock farms has been increased from HUF 50 billion to HUF 260 billion, benefiting over 568 farms and providing additional funds for modernization. Additionally, a new HUF 30 billion tender has been reopened to support smaller livestock farms. In response to high feed prices and other challenges, the government has allocated an extra HUF 4.4 billion to support livestock farmers. Furthermore, Hungary is set to start exporting rabbit meat to Canada, and the food industry can apply for up to HUF 5 billion in support from a dedicated fund. Farmers can also apply for funding for crop storage, dryers, and cleaners, with up to HUF 1 billion available.
