6 major bottlenecks of Vietnam's logistics At the recently held Vietnam Logistics Forum 2025 in Da Nang, the Prime Minister affirmed that the Party and the State are concerned and have many important guidelines and policies to develop the logistics industry. The resolutions of the Politburo, institutions, mechanisms, and policies issued by the National Assembly and the Government on regional development all contain content related to logistics. The implementation of these guidelines and policies has brought positive results. However, alongside the achievements, Vietnam's logistics still face six bottlenecks. Specifically, the logistics cost in Vietnam remains high compared to regional countries (Singapore at only 8%, Malaysia at 12%, and the global average around 11%). Regional connectivity and infrastructure linkage are still uncoordinated, limited, and vulnerable to natural disasters.
