A business in Afyonkarahisar, Turkey, has begun processing seasonal fruits such as cherries, strawberries, sour cherries, blackberries, and figs into frozen food. These products are exported to 30 countries, with a particular focus on Germany, England, Netherlands, Switzerland, China, Japan, and the USA. Due to climate change, it is anticipated that the demand for frozen fruits will continue to rise. The Sultandağı district, famous for its cherries, is a major contributor to this production. The facility currently employs 417 people, with an additional 100 financed by İŞKUR for on-the-job training.
