The Production Cost Indexes published by Embrapa's Poultry and Pork Intelligence Center (CIAS) show an increase in pork and broiler chicken production costs in November. The pork production cost index, ICPSuíno, increased by 1.72% and the broiler chicken production cost index, ICPFrango, increased by 0.11%. Nutrition costs had the biggest impact on pork production costs, increasing by 1.32%. The total cost of production per kilogram of live pig in Santa Catarina was R$ 7.99, an increase of R$ 0.14 from October, and the cost of production per kilogram of live broiler chicken in Paraná was R$ 5.50. These calculations are used as a reference by the productive sector.
