A round table meeting was held to discuss the development of the sugar industry in Kazakhstan, with a focus on a five-year comprehensive plan that aims to increase the share of domestic sugar production from 7% to 43% by 2026. This plan includes strategies such as expanding sugar beet sown areas, modernizing factories, financial support, and market protection. Additionally, tax preferences, financial cooperation with Baiterek holding, and the launch of a sugar factory are part of the efforts to increase the profitability of sugar beet and improve the efficiency of the sugar industry. The meeting also highlighted the need to address logistical and financing challenges, especially in providing water for sugar areas and constructing railway lines for sugar factories.
