REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SEMARANG -- Polrestabes Semarang thwarted the entry of 133.5 tons of illegal shallots at Tanjung Emas Port, Semarang City, following a public complaint submitted through the Lapor Pak Amran channel. The crackdown was carried out in collaboration with the Central Java Animal, Fish, and Plant Quarantine Office (BKHIT), Kodim 0733/KS, and Lanal Semarang. The public complaint informed about the transportation of shallots without quarantine documents from Pontianak to Semarang using ships and trucks. The information was immediately followed up by officers through inspections in the port area. Polrestabes Semarang Commissioner, Commissioner M Syahduddi, said the disclosure of this case began with a public report stating the shipment of shallots without official documents.
