Qatari investors plan to breed camels in Turkestan region

Deputy Akim of the Turkestan region Nuralkhan Kosherov met with the CEO of the Qatari company Trust for Trading Co Saleh Jaber Al Mari. At the meeting, the parties discussed the import and breeding of dairy camels in the region. This was reported by the press service of the regional akimat. “Investors plan to import camels from Qatar, breed them and sell them to local farmers. Then, according to the plan, farmers will supply camel milk to the Golden Camel plant located in Turkestan. The issue of providing preferential loans to local farmers was also discussed,” the akimat reported. As specified by the administrative department, the Golden Camel plant currently purchases camel milk at a price of 850 tenge, makes dry products from it and exports products to China. The plant plans to increase the volume of purchased milk, so the offer is profitable.
