Research report on improving fishery regulations within port areas by the Fisheries Economics Research Institute of the Fisheries Cooperation Association

Researcher Lee Ji-min from the Fisheries Economics Research Institute of the Cooperatives argued in the research report "Improvement Plans for Fisheries Regulations in Port Areas" that there is a need to revise Article 28 of the Port Act and Article 35 of the Enforcement Decree of the same Act. This researcher suggested deleting the part of Article 35, Clause 1 of the Port Act Enforcement Decree that states "the act of capturing or collecting aquatic plants and animals (limited to the capture or collection as fishing under Article 2, Clause 2 of the Fisheries Act) or cultivating them" and directly stipulating regulatory actions in Article 28 of the Port Act, but allowing exceptions in situations where the port is used efficiently.
