The Saudi agricultural investment company SALIC, which specializes in agriculture and livestock, is exploring investment opportunities in Russia, but currently sees great value in helping to promote Russian wheat on the global market. This was stated by the company's CEO Suleiman Al-Rumaikh, as reported by Reuters.
"We are conducting serious discussions about certain prospects. For us, it is a matter of time," he said.
S. Al-Rumaikh also noted that Russian supplies account for about 50% of the total wheat import volume in Saudi Arabia. In his opinion, this demonstrates the "high competitiveness of Russian firms and the opportunity to increase Russian wheat exports to markets in the Middle East and Africa with the help of SALIC."
"I think we will be more useful to Russia as conductors of Russian grain to the global market," he summarized.
