The article highlights the registration of the Şebinkarahisar Black Mulberry under the Giresun Province Rural Income Resources Diversification Project, financed by DOKAP, by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office. This marks the 11th geographical indication product registration from the project, with the mulberry's unique characteristics and climate advantages of the Şebinkarahisar district. The registration aims to boost the district's economic value and is part of ongoing efforts to register more geographical indication products from the province, including Giresun Bagel, Giresun Hazelnut Paste Kadayif Dessert, and Giresun Nettle.
