In April, the Netherlands saw a significant recovery in its seed potato exports within the European Union, delivering over 100,000 tons and reaching total exports of just over 415,000 tonnes, excluding to the UK. The main importers were Belgium and Germany, with Belgium's imports showing a 13% increase from the previous year, while sales to Italy and Portugal experienced a decrease. The UK's imports remained low due to Brexit, but there has been a slight increase this year.
