Serbia's export of frozen raspberries decreased by 33% in the first 8 months of 2022 compared to the same period in 2021, but revenue increased by 12% to 224 million euros. The country is expected to harvest over 90,000 tons of raspberries in 2022, with 15,000 tons unsold from the previous year. High purchase prices of fresh raspberries and competition from Ukraine are challenging Serbian exporters, especially with reduced demand from Europe and the USA. Despite these challenges, Serbian exporters are expanding into new markets such as Argentina and Saudi Arabia.
