Even with the reduction in area, the climatic conditions favored the crop. The good rainfall regime during the development of the crop, followed by dry weather at harvest, ensured a significant increase in productivity. The national average reached 621 kg/ha, a 13.3% increase from the previous crop, resulting in a total production of 396.7 thousand tons – a 9.8% annual increase. The highlight was the Araguaia Valley, the main producing region in the country, where many farmers exceeded the national average. There are reports of productivities above 700 kg/ha, and in some cases exceeding 1 ton per hectare, reinforcing the productive potential of the region. This performance has consolidated the Araguaia as a strategic hub for the crop.
