In the first half of 2021, Spain saw a significant increase in wine and viticultural product exports, with a 27.3% rise in volume and a 17.5% increase in value compared to the same period in 2020. The majority of these exports were transported by road or sea, with Barcelona and Valencia being the primary departure customs. There was a notable growth in maritime shipments, especially from Valencia, and a substantial increase in wine exports from the port of Bilbao. Additionally, there was an overall positive trend in exports from various regions including Ciudad Real, Guipúzcoa, Albacete, Madrid, Murcia, Toledo, and Álava, with the exception of Badajoz.
