South Korean and Chinese fishermen to hold an exchange meeting in Jeju next year... aiming to eradicate illegal fishing and strengthen cooperation.

South Korea's Fisheries Association and China's Fisheries Association, representing both countries' private fisheries organizations, have decided to hold a joint fishing industry exchange meeting in Jeju next April. The South Korean Fisheries Association announced this decision at the 19th South Korea-China Private Fisheries Cooperation Conference held in Weihai, China on the 17th. Additionally, the conference reviewed the status of the implementation of the South Korea-China private fisheries agreement and discussed measures to eradicate damages caused by illegal Chinese fishing in the West Sea's specific waters and South Korea's provisionally applied waters (EEZ) and to strengthen education and guidance of fishermen.
