The Spanish Chorizo Consortium has witnessed a 28% surge in the export of quality-approved chorizo to the UK in the first quarter of 2021, totaling 607,500 kilos. This growth has propelled the Consortium's market share to 25.95%, making it the preferred choice for one in four Spanish chorizos consumed in the UK. In an effort to meet the escalating demand and expand production, companies like La Hoguera and Boadas are investing in new facilities, and a marketing campaign is set to launch to further elevate the Consortium's brand and highlight the authenticity and quality of Spanish chorizo in the UK.
