Table olive production in Spain will fall below 500,000 tons this campaign, less than what the sector had anticipated, as it concludes a harvest marked by a lack of water. According to the latest update from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food in October, the national olive production is expected to be 499,000 tons in the 2025-2026 campaign. Gabriel Cabello, president of Table Olives at Cooperativas Agroalimentarias de España, specified to Efeagro that, pending November data, the harvest will once again fall short of the half-million-ton mark, a figure lower than the average of the last four campaigns and the sector's estimates. The third estimate published in September by the interprofessional organization Interaceituna already reflected some difficulties in the collection and estimated a final production of 535,150 tons, higher than the average of 504,220 tons of the last four campaigns.
