The 97th beet purchase campaign was launched at the Uşak Nuri Sugar Factory in Turkey, marking the start of beet processing for the season. The campaign was attended by local authorities and farmers, with 1,700 tons of beet expected to be processed over a 94-day period, starting October 9. The factory also produces 165 thousand tons of beetroot, 22 thousand tons of sugar, 50 thousand tons of pulp, and 7 thousand tons of molasses annually. The first beet purchases of the season were made by Uşak Governor Turan Ergün, and seven farmers who brought the first beets were rewarded with gifts.
