The crisis in Italy bites the dairy farming of the mountains

Among the sectors most suffering in the national agri-food production landscape due to skyrocketing costs and declining production there is certainly that of mountain dairy farming. The effects? The killing of many head of cattle and the consequent closure of the farms. The alarm was raised by the Agri-food Cooperative Alliance, to which most of the cooperatives operating in mountain regions belong and which were at the center of the first summit on mountain animal husbandry held in recent days in Bergamo, with the involvement of the departments agriculture in the regions of Friuli Venezia Giulia, Lombardy, Piedmont, Veneto and the autonomous province of Trento.
