The national federations of truffle growers from Spain, France, and Italy have launched the European Truffle Growers Association (ATE), as stated in a communiqué by the European Mycology Institute (EMI), which will provide scientific and technical support. For its launch, it was approved that Michel Tournayre, from the French Federation of Truffle Growers (FFT), will occupy the Presidency, it has been detailed. The new organization will have three vice presidents: Daniel Brito García-Mascaraque, president of the Spanish Federation of Truffle Growers (FETT), Gianfranco Berni, president of the Italian Federation of Truffle Growers (FITA), and Alain Ambialet, president of the French Federation of Truffle Growers (FFT). During the constitutive meeting, held in San Giovanni d’Asso (Tuscany, Italy), the statutes of the ATE were also approved and the members of the board of directors were designated, three per country.
