Hungary has seen a significant decrease in raspberry production, leading to a complete stop in the export of fresh raspberries and a 6% drop in the export of frozen raspberries compared to the same period last year. Imported raspberries also saw a decrease of 13% in fresh raspberries and 23% in frozen raspberries. The decline in production is attributed to a decrease in domestic demand, the cessation of domestic cultivation, a lack of funding, the loss of stable markets, and the challenges of climate change, as well as a labor shortage due to the absence of seasonal workers.
