The low yield in hazelnuts is increasing costs.

The yield decline in hazelnuts, a significant agricultural export product of Turkey, has increased the cost burden on producers, while experts emphasize the need for maintenance and renovation work in the orchards to find a solution. Dr. Ali Turan pointed out that the brown marmorated stink bug, a frequently discussed issue among the public, is an important problem in hazelnuts, but the real danger is the yield decline. Turan emphasized that especially aging hazelnut orchards need to be rejuvenated.
