The Ministry of Agriculture in Indonesia is making efforts to export Swallow's Nest (SBW) from East Java, following the potential high demand for this commodity, especially in China. In 2020, Surabaya, East Java, facilitated 1,826 exports of SBW with a volume of 245,387 tons. The government aims to contribute to the country's foreign exchange by overcoming the obstacles preventing SBW from entering the international market and by providing guidance to breeders. The Minister of Agriculture has also instructed to develop and oversee the export process of SBW in Indonesia, with a target of 80% export to China.
