The mulberry white fig is heading for export.

The Mut white fig, cultivated in Mersin's Mut district and noted for its aroma, has started to be exported abroad this season. Initially sold at 200 lira per kilogram, the white fig is now being exported at 180 lira per kilogram. In Mut district, where agricultural production continues throughout the year, products such as apricots, plums, olives, pomegranates, apples, melons, watermelons, and vegetables, along with the white fig this season, have found their place in the foreign market. Produced in an area of 5,000 decares in the district, 35,000 tons of white figs are expected to be harvested this year. In Mut, which meets 85% of Turkey's table apricot needs, fig harvesting is now in full swing following the end of the plum season. Particularly noted for its color, taste, aroma, size, and resistance to shipping, the Mut white fig is in demand in the German and Dubai markets.
