(You can also follow us on our WhatsApp channel) The sectorial table of cut flowers and ornamental plants held a meeting today, chaired by the Secretary of Agrarian Resources and Food Safety, Ana Rodríguez, to analyze the evolution of macroeconomic data from recent years and to learn about the concerns and future perspectives of an activity clearly in growth in Spain. This sector presented a production value in 2024 of 1,321 million euros (provisional data) which, although it is 8% lower than the record campaign of 2023, is 33% above the average of the last five years. The trade balance of 2025 shows a positive balance of 330 million euros, 2% below 2024 but 22% above the average of the five-year period. Spain is a net exporter in ornamental plants, while in cut flowers there is a higher volume of imports.
