The article highlights the efforts of Kazakhstan's Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources, in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, to combat the impact of a dry cycle on agriculture in southern regions. Despite the challenges, measures such as reducing crop areas, reusing collector-drainage water, and installing additional pumps, along with negotiations with upstream countries to secure additional water, successfully prevented significant crop losses. However, the ministry has called for accelerating the implementation of modern water-saving technologies and the digitalization of water supply to address long-term sustainability concerns.
