The St. Petersburg Exchange will launch pilot wool trading on the domestic market on April 16. The subject of the trading will be crossbred sheep wool (obtained from mixed-breed sheep) with transactions taking place in the "Agricultural Products and Bioresources" section with clearing and settlements in rubles, reports "Vedomosti." More than 15 Russian producers and processors are ready to join the project, said Larisa Vovkivvskaya, head of the Department of Development of New Commodity Markets at the St. Petersburg Exchange. She added that it is advisable to bring products from the entire supply chain to the trading—from raw materials to finished products.
