Turkey: Trout production is carried out in 38 facilities in Van

In Van, trout is produced in 38 facilities established in dams and fresh water resources, contributing to the economy. Thanks to the pearl mullet living in Van Lake, fishing is one of the important sources of income in the city, and farm fishing is also developing with the support provided by the state. The trout production facilities established in rivers and dams in Gürpınar, Çatak, Erciş, Muradiye and Bahçesaray districts both contribute to the economic development of the region and enable the use of water resources.
