In 2021, Turkey saw significant growth in its honey exports, reaching 9,875 tons and generating an income of 30 million 498 thousand 600 dollars from 55 countries. The USA was the top buyer, accounting for 31% of total exports with 8 million 860 thousand 506 dollars. Other major buyers included Germany, Spain, Bulgaria, and Israel. Compared to the previous year, Turkey exported honey to a wider range of countries, including Italy, Morocco, Egypt, Mongolia, Venezuela, Pakistan, Kenya, Ireland, Albania, and Sudan. The increase in honey exports was attributed to the coronavirus pandemic, which has led to a surge in demand for supplements.
