Between January and March of 2023, Turkey experienced a notable increase in its citrus fruit exports, with a 12.22% rise in revenue compared to the same period in 2022, totaling $351.86 million. The country exported 603,488 thousand tons of citrus fruits, including tangerines, lemons, grapefruits, and oranges. Russia emerged as the leading importer, followed by Ukraine, Poland, Romania, and Bulgaria. Despite challenges such as reduced citrus production due to military conflict and earthquakes, the sector remains robust and is anticipated to see further growth due to the government's efforts and strategies.
