Hungary: Two fish from Lake Balaton were protected

Both perch and carp received EU protection under the name Balaton fish - the Ministry of Agriculture said. This means that, as a result of the Ministry of Agriculture's Geographical Indications Program, only carp and toothfish farmed in accordance with the requirements set out in its product specification can be called Balaton fish in the European Union.
