The global market is facing a pronounced shortage of beef, which inevitably contributes to the rise in meat and livestock prices and encourages producers, including Ukrainian ones, to increase export volumes. This was reported by analyst Georgiy Kukhaleishvili of the Milk Producers Association. In October 2025, the country exported 1,650 tons of live cattle. This is 197% more compared to September 2025. In October, revenue from exported cattle reached $5.39 million—almost 7 times more than in September 2025 and 6% more than a year earlier. Overall, for January-October 2025, cattle exports totaled 14,940 tons (+16%) worth $34.61 million (+42%). Key buyers over the 10 months were Lebanon (84%), Kazakhstan (9%), and Libya (6.4%). In October 2025, Ukrainian exporters supplied 251 tons of fresh or chilled beef to foreign markets.
