The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has approved a program for the export of fresh apples from Ukraine to Canada, providing new export opportunities for Ukrainian apple producers. Exporters must be registered with the State Food and Consumer Protection Service and maintain pest control measures to meet Canada's import requirements. Each shipment must also be issued with a phytosanitary certificate. This development is expected to increase Ukraine's gross agricultural output by 3% in 2025, meeting the domestic food needs of the state.
