UK dairy exports increased by 3.5% in the January-October period, reaching 1,03 million tons, with cheese, whey, milk, and cream showing positive growth. However, powders and concentrates, butter, buttermilk, and yogurt saw decreases. The average price per ton has increased due to tighter supplies and higher production costs, leading to a 37% increase in total export value to £1.54 billion. Import value increased by 26% to £2.48 billion, driven by higher commodity prices, despite a decrease in volumes. Ireland remains the UK's largest supplier of dairy products.
