US beef exports hit a new value record in July 2021, with a 45% increase from the previous year, reaching $939.1 million. The volume was also up by 14% to 122,743 metric tonnes. From January to July, there was an 18% increase in volume and a 30% increase in value in beef exports. Despite COVID-related challenges, the retail demand for beef remains strong. The mainstay Asian markets, Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan, showed significant increases in value. China also saw impressive growth in beef exports from the US, with a record 18,021 MT shipped in July.
