USDA attaché differs with StatCan on 2026-27 canola crop

The attaché estimated Canadian farmers are to reap 20.11 million tonnes of canola in 2026-27, compared to StatCan’s current call of 19.20 million. That was based on 8.77 million hectares being combined with an average yield of 2.29 tonnes per hectare.
