Between January and October of 2022, Uzbekistan experienced a significant increase in kaki exports, exporting a total of 45,600 tons which fetched over 26.3 million euros. This represents a 7,500 ton increase compared to the same period in 2021. The primary importers were Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Belarus, and Poland. Additionally, the country saw a drastic rise in kaki prices, with the average purchase price in October being €0.28/kg, more than double the price from the previous year, due to increased demand and a delayed ripening season.
