Colombia has initiated its second cycle of vaccination against foot-and-mouth disease and bovine brucellosis, aiming to maintain its disease-free certification granted in February 2020 by the World Organization for Animal Health. The vaccination, which will be applied to 30 million animals across 619,637 farms, is a collaborative effort between the ICA and the Colombian Federation of Livestock Farmers (FEDEGÁN-FNG). The campaign, which runs from November 8 to December 22, 2022, is crucial for maintaining health security, eradicating foot-and-mouth disease, and allowing international trade. Farmers are encouraged to ensure all animals are vaccinated.
