The article reports on the successful completion of the sugar beet harvest season in the Moulouya Basin, despite the challenging weather conditions. The region, which saw an 18.5% increase in planted area compared to the previous season, covering 4,500 hectares, has achieved a significant productivity boost, with an expected 14% increase in output to 261,000 tons and a rise in sugar production to 36,000 tons. This success is credited to the region's rainfall and careful irrigation management, alongside increased agricultural support and the adoption of disease-resistant single-embryo seed varieties. The season has benefited from dedicated efforts and collaboration, aiming to ensure the socio-economic success of sugar beet cultivation in the Moulouya irrigated sector.
