Vietnamese tuna exports to Italy have increased by 37% in the first half of this year, with June seeing a 12-fold growth in trade. Italy now purchases over 50% of Vietnam's canned tuna, a five-fold increase from the previous year. The European Union and Vietnam's Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) tariff preference and attractive pricing due to high tuna raw material costs are contributing factors to Italy's import of Vietnamese tuna products.
