Weather conditions drive sunflower cultivation

According to data from the 1st Survey of the 2025/26 Grain Harvest, released this Tuesday (14) by the National Supply Company, the area of sunflower production in Rio Grande do Sul is estimated at 6,000 hectares. The growth is attributed to the greater availability of seeds in this harvest, a factor that had limited the expansion in the 2024/25 cycle, in addition to the good results obtained in recent harvests and the possibility of planting a second crop.
