The Vietnamese honey industry has seen significant growth in the first nine months of 2022, with nearly 24,000 tons exported and generating a revenue of around 41 million USD. The US market has been a major consumer, despite an anti-dumping tax, accounting for 44.5% of the market share. The government's efforts to reduce this tax have allowed the industry to expand, particularly in the US where there is demand for around 15,000 tons of honey by the end of the year. Despite challenges, the domestic market also offers potential as honey is increasingly used as a sweetener. The industry exports to 12 countries and territories, with the US making up nearly all of the export turnover of 70-100 million USD annually.
