The Polish fruit and vegetable processing industry experienced a decline in production volumes in 2020, with decreases in the production of frozen fruit and vegetables, fruit and vegetable juices, and fruit and vegetable preserves. The decrease in volumes was primarily due to a lower supply of raw materials, coupled with higher raw material prices. Despite these challenges, processors were able to compensate by increasing product prices, leading to sales revenues similar to the previous year and a 4.5% increase in the result on sales for companies employing at least 50 employees. The net result increased by 21% y / y, taking into account other results items and government support.
