Turkiye: While milk production increased by 4.8% in 2023, chicken meat production decreased by 3.7%

According to Turkish Statistical Institute data, the amount of cow milk collected by commercial dairy enterprises for the period January-December 2023 increased by 4.8 percent and reached 10.22 million tons. In the same period, drinking milk production increased by 1.5 percent to 1.52 million tons, yoghurt production increased by 4.3 percent to 1.22 million tons, cow cheese production increased by 9.7 percent to 771 thousand tons, while butter production decreased by 9 percent to 87 thousand tons.
