Paraná is the largest animal protein producer in Brazil, with a production of 4.87 million tons of chicken, pork, and beef in the first three quarters of 2022, primarily from poultry. The state leads in poultry farming, is the second largest pork producer, and is among the ten largest beef cattle breeders. It also ranks as the second main Brazilian producer of milk and eggs. The state is investing in energy security and infrastructure, and is encouraging the use of renewable energy in farms and agro-industries.
